Graphic arts help wanted

Written by Jeff on January 2nd, 2008

Are you an SCVTalk fan and a graphic artist? Or do you know someone locally who is? If so, I could use your help.

SCVTalk.com may have a fresh, new look, but there’s still much to be done.

One of the keys to the old website was easily-identifiable icons that helped the reader determine whether an article was opinion, news, sports, or other some other category of posts.

I put together those icons from stock icon websites, random images, and my own collection of clip-art, but they never looked very good or professional.

For the second generation SCVTalk, I want something better.

Unfortunately, I have zero graphic design skills and lack the necessary software to experiment, so I could use your help in creating approximately nine (9) small (no larger than 100×100) icons that look professional and are theme-based.

I may also want to create a new logo for the website.

In exchange, I’m willing to give your graphic arts firm or your website front page ad-space on SCVTalk.com for a limited period of time. If that’s not an acceptable form of payment, we can discuss other options.

I’d prefer someone in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Please email me if you’re interested: jeff at scvtalk.com

Thank you!
