Farley on Open Space Audit Committee

Written by Jeff on January 23rd, 2008

Jim Farley once opposed the formation of an open space district with taxpayer funds, but once voters approved it, he asked to serve on the committee’s audit panel and promised to serve professionally. Here he asks the City Council why it’s taking so long to create the committee as the Council considers making its first purchase with the funds.

I agree with Jim on this - the council does not want him on the audit committee. According to Maria Gutizite’s article in the Signal, they won’t abide by the committee’s agenda anyway.
We were all duped by this Open Space deal and I think the supporters of it are starting to become a bit concerned that it is not going to do what they advertized.
