McKeon on Television Again

Since he became Ranking Member of the House’s Armed Services Committee, Buck McKeon has gotten a lot more air time.

Today he was on Fox talking about his meeting with the President about Afghanistan:

How do you think he looks on the air? For a 70 year old McKeon is in remarkable shape and looks younger than he is, but on TV, his haircut always looks to me like a military buzz cut.

Anyway, KHTS has a good report on McKeon’s press conference held after he met with the President. Check out how many times McKeon uses the word “stalemate” in his comments; that must be the new talking point.

Perhaps that military buzz cut helped him get that position/title in politics?

I’m not surprised that he looks so good at 70, afterall he does have the best health care in the country and has easy access to all his health/medical needs. If we all had it, we might look as good or perhaps even better!

Oh yeah,I’m sure the chess references are part of the job also.

It is frightening to me that anyone, let alone the president, would ask Buck for his opinion on the war.

Perhaps Buck could make a meaningful contribution to the type of clothes and hats the soldiers wear, but WTF does he know about fighting a war! Even though the war is in someone else’s “neighborhood”.

    What a Joke!

Not exactly an effective communicator, our “Buck”. He speaks haltingly on camera and looks like he’s trying to remember what he’s supposed to say, like a nervous 7th grader delivering a book report on a book he only skimmed.

Maybe Buck does better one on one with Obama when conveying his message. I am sure Obama looks up to a redneck named Buck, and that he values Buck’s every word!
    What University did Buck attend?

What university do you think, cash?

    BYU, of course.

Although it apppears it took him quiet some time to graduate (B.S. in animal husbandry in 1985).

  6. John Adams says:

Maybe he looks good because of a good clean LDS lifestyle

His body has never been contaminated with caffine or alchohol

    Never smoked or did drugs

You think that may have helped?

Buck’s degree in Animal Husbandry has obviously served him well. As he stated in his opening comment at the recent Health Care Town Hall, he and his wife are the proud grandparents of THIRTY. Seriously… 30 grandchildren. Breeders!

Just because he is mormon, doesn’t mean he never smoked, drank, or did drugs. I knew many, many mormons back in the 80′s who were hard-core partiers in high school at Hart and Canyon.

I am thinking Buck would be better at owning a horse rescue facility. BTW, just because an individual attended BYU does not mean they have never done anything to contaminate there body. Breeders you say, perhaps they just like sex. I was not surprised that Buck had to confirm the number of children with his wife.

He seems like a very nice person, but we can do much better in terms of having brighter representation in DC.

Outsiders must think the citizens of SCV are just a bunch of bush Okies! It time to move up a few notches!
