  • Sheriff’s Deputy with minor injuries after his patrol car is struck by an Escalade at Valencia & the Old Road. Deputy had his lights and sirens on and was moving slowly through the intersection when he was hit. SIGNAL
  • Dave Gauny for City Council announcement today at 11 am in front of City Hall. I’ve heard lots of rumors that a certain other Councilman with law enforcement background may endorse Gauny. We’ll have to see today WRB
  • Buck McKeon spends a half hour on CSPAN explaining his views on Afghanistan CSPAN
  • Two sad medical stories today: A 51 year old Castaic woman suffering from leukemia has decided to go off chemo, a decision which may result in her death within a month. Her family will hold a garage sale this weekend to raise money for the funeral. SIGNAL Meanwhile, a 64 year old Latina grandmother with a big family is hoping she can find a bone marrow match to treat her acute leukemia. “Her most likely match would be another Latino, experts say. But Latinos make up 10 percent of the bone marrow registry and her chances of getting a donor are slim,” the DAILY NEWS reports.
