Her family will hold a garage sale this weekend to raise money for the funeral. SIGNAL Meanwhile, a 64 year old Latina grandmother with a big family is hoping she can find a bone marrow match to treat her acute leukemia. “Her most likely match would be another Latino, experts say. But Latinos make up 10 percent of the bone marrow registry and her chances of getting a donor are slim,” the DAILY NEWS reports.
