Barbara Dore didn’t file her campaign financing statements for years – in spite of being asked to via phone calls and letters. Spending campaign money on So. Cal Gas, auto repair, landscaping and medical bills because she didn’t have enough money in her personal account tells me she is someone who can’t manage her own finances. How is it that we expect her to be able to effectively govern a multi-million dollar water company?

Are the voters that stupid?

Let’s see if she gets runs again and gets re-elected.

Having her as a board member is like having Ed Colley’s wife on the board. GOBN but no substance.

On “Community” I am sure they publicly shudder at COC about that show but are secretly laughing up their sleeves because they can find every character on COC’s campus.

Interesting that Al Adelini, in endorsing Randy Moberg over incumbent Joan MacGregor, states that “The college board should not only (sic) be used as a . . . “long-term ego trip.”" His best buddy on the Board, Bruce Fortine, has been doing that for years.

Even with shifting demographics, if you don’t have name ID, you won’t have a shot. Smyth could still win in an SCV with a Democratic plurality. If things continue to shift, they won’t shift to a degree that matters before 2010. After that, the semi-blind redistricting may render everything moot.

Well, OK they must base it just on demographics which would indicate a chance, but a practical battle would require the running of a strong Democratic candidate against the “reasonable” incumbent, and, bless her heart, that is not Carole Luteness or any other likelies.

That’s exactly the point. It isn’t good stewardship to destroy nature so as to adulate a small section. That’s idolatry. The whole point of taking our God given dominion over the earth is determining the fate of certain critters.
