Next time i see Bucky, I’m giving that fine senior citizen ass of his a nice hard slap. Wake up, Buck-O!! A ten year old has a bigger heart and mind than you:http://us.cnn.com/video/?/video/us/2009/11/16/am.boy.no.pledge.cnn
Ah yes, the ten year old useful idiot from Arkansas. First off, gays and lesbians do have equal rights as far as the language of the pledge is concerned. Redefining marriage to include men with men and women with women doesn’t qualify as “equal rights and liberty for all.” Any more than Islamic polygamists who want their “equal rights” protected.
Additionally, I would be curious to ask this 10 year old boy to define for me what he thinks a homosexual is, and then watch how he and his daddy squirm when it is explained to him.
Why does Buck not believe in the US judicial system?
Oh Jeff, Dave got ya! He asserts that the Board is trying to ram throught he property in Hasley/Sloan Canyon owned by the Facilities Foundation that the Nimbies previously killed. If they are going that way the might want a unanimous vote which they might not get with Joe on the Board. (Even after the seating it would probably pass four to one anyway.)
Fred Butler to the rescue!
Gays and Lesbians do not have the same equal rights as far as the language of the pledge is concerned. Justice? Not being able to marry seems to me like an injustice. Perhaps, because you obviously have some “issues” with homosexuality, you believe gays and lesbians are getting all the justice they deserve. Throwing out the “I” word (apparently you’re one of the dimwits who thinks islam = Terrorist) doesn’t make sense. But then again, neither does irrational and fear based hate. Grow a pair, Fred. I swear I won’t touch them.
As for the father explaining what homosexuality is to his son? I’m betting this kid, given how bright he seems, knows exactly what “it” is. Why would his father or him squirm?? If you went into graphic sexual detail, sure. But what 10 year old wouldn’t get squirmy when the details of either straight or gay sex was explained to them in detail? Maybe that’s something that excites you, Fred?
Look inward, pal. You may have some truths to face.
“Additionally, I would be curious to ask this 10 year old boy to define for me what he thinks a homosexual is, and then watch how he and his daddy squirm when it is explained to him.”
Fred, if you explained heterosexual sex to any 10 year old who did not grow up on a farm they would squirm. Sheesh!
damnit I posted too quickly this morning, lack of fact checking sorry to all involved
“10 year-old” being the operative word, but that seems to have gone over everyone’s head here. What wisdom does a ten year old from backwater Arkansas who is merely being used by his activist parents, have to impart to the world? A 10 year-old from rural Arkansas doesn’t use big fancy words to tell off his authorities. Being from Arkansas I happen to know of what I speak.
GF: then you’re for equal rights for Muslims, or fundamentalist Mormons for that matter, to practice polygamy? Why or why not?
I don’t think being from Arkansas (“backwater” or not) precludes anyone from having wisdom. Awesomely narrow mined stereotype, though. As for the 10 year old being “used by his activist parents”? How did you manage to get that information from the CNN clip? Seems you are attacking the messenger here, picking apart everything you can. That doesn’t hold any water. I think plenty of young children can see the basic truth in many things. And this one did, and guess what? He used big fancy words too! GASP. A homophobe and a kid hater? Tsk Tsk……
Fred: I never inferred that polygamy was worthy of equal marriage rights. Not sure what connection you are trying to make between polygamy and gay marriage. Care to explain? I merely brought up the fact that you seem the type to equate Islam with terrorism rather than a religion. If I’m wrong, I apologize. But it doesn’t seem too far of a stretch based on your intolerance for those not like you.
Have you ever seen two grown men kiss Fred? Did you get enraged?
How did you manage to get that information from the CNN clip?
I happen to read other news sources. I personally did a websearch.
I never inferred that polygamy was worthy of equal marriage rights. Not sure what connection you are trying to make between polygamy and gay marriage. Care to explain?
It’s quite simple: If we are going to re-define marriage so that it includes same-sex individuals with the same societal recognition of marriage as a man and a woman, and then claim such a change is giving one supposed minority group equal rights, then the question needs to be asked why such a re-definition as far as American societal norms and law is concerned, won’t include Islamic groups who practice polygamy (we can include Mormons here as well) according to their beliefs and values. Are not Muslims to get the same sort of “equal” treatment with regards to their views on marriage as do the gays?
Generally those who offer gung-ho support for same-sex marriage tend to have a self-induced myopia to the ramifications of the consequences if such a change takes place. Yet at this time it is trendy to engage in ridiculous protests for gays and not Muslims, at least not yet.
I merely brought up the fact that you seem the type to equate Islam with terrorism rather than a religion.
And I am rather mystified why you even raised this point seeing that my comments have been limited to how gays and Muslims understand marriage relative to their perspective ideology and the liberty for each to practice that ideology according to societal norms and laws.
By the way, I happen to equate Islam with the religion, but recognize that the bulk of the Islamic terrorists do so because of what their religion teaches.
Personally speaking and IMHO, it is usually the ADULTS that squirm when a couple of the same sex kiss; not the young. No child should see ANY adults having consensual sex…PERIOD. However, to show children that there is LOVE amongst both straight and homosexual adults, is what is missing within our society.
Instead our children are exposed to the never ending DIVORCE wars and sex scandals/tapes that seem to be promoted by everyone and accepted, sadly. It has become the norm and is very quickly forgiven; but, have two people of the same sex affirm their love for each other in a public manner and adults ‘squirm’….figure!
California law already prohibits the kinds of discrimination “Frank’s bill, also known as ENDA, would ban, and local employers say the bill won’t affect them because they have similar anti-discrimination rules on the books already. Opponents of same-sex marriage, though, worry the bill could hurt businesses and might be a precursor to a federal law allowing gays to marry.”
So to all you with the gay perspective, be happy. California loves you too.
To all the black people that may read this blog. I am white and I was turned down for a refinance by Well Fargo. Never missed a payment and have excellent credit. It seems the banks discriminate against old white dudes as well.
Cash:
You have to be old, white AND homely to get rejected! (But your family still loves you!)
Not homely, some would say I am very handsome.
Hi Cash
What was the bank’s reason for denying you, if I may ask?
I agree with you Cash. Those darn Black people are so overly sensitive and so quick to complain. They need to just accept their place in the world, right? http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-talk-couples-retreat-posters.html
You need to walk in those shoes before you could ever understand.
FRED: You win, buddy. I can’t keep up with your wisdom that surely comes straight from God’s mouth. It’s just….unfair. I now hate all homosexuals, think the kid from Arkansas is an idiot, and plan on talking to my 10 year old nephew about anal sex as soon as I can. May God be with you.
GF,
That is a lazy response. Typical I guess of folks now a days. Hopefully in all of your misguided emotion against me, you at least have something to ponder as to the consistency of your convictions.
PRAISE THE LARD.
Fact is, you’re the type looking to “win” a battle on the internet, not affect real change. I’m as consistent in my convictions as anyone you’ll ever meet, if you ever left the confines of your holy home. The only thing I’ll ponder as I leave this string of comments is when you’ll realize how hate and bitterness is intertwined with your version of “faith”.
You’re the type that casts doubt on the very existence of God. Nice work.
