  • Land owners want to raise rent for mobile home residents in Newhall by 39%  (or $200/month). The Signal says most of the mobile home dwellers are on a fixed income, while the land owners say they have to pay for flood damage SIGNAL

  • In 2009, there were four million fewer cars on American roads, which is “unheard of” according to some experts. Popular speculation is that cars have reached a “saturation point” in America; there are currently 246 million registered vehicles in the country but only 209 million licensed drivers CLEAN TECHNICA

  1. GITMO as a penal colony. That’s a new one to me. Not completely inaccurate either. We do need a long-term solution to housing terrorists that we can never release and whom are too critical to our clandestine services to put on open trial. What to do, what to do.
