As to the Bob Kellar comments: It is my understanding that the Government MANDATES that when foreign language speaking public population reaches xx% of total population, all official stuff has to be in Spanish, Korean, or whatever. I question how “they” arrive at their numbers but that aside, Bob Kellar has no say in the matter any more than I do. If I had anything to say about it, I would say save the taxpayer money used on translations and instead require all residents legally here, but who are non English proficient, to take ESL classes so they can vote, get better paying jobs, and participate in English just like all the other immigrants who came before did. This was not an official function pertaining in any way to the City of Santa Clarita nor did he say he was representing the Council, City, etc. No one in their right mind could deduce he was there in an official capacity.
