There was no shortage of blondes at Carly Fiorina’s campaign stop/keynote speech at Buck McKeon’s Women’s Conference held at College of the Canyons, February 13, 2010, Santa Clarita California.
Although there was little talk of her campaign during the keynote speech, Fiorina spent most of her allotted Q&A devoted to telling Santa Clarita women how she was going to get rid of California Senator Barbara Boxer, and why she was the better candidate.

LOL!!
From the boxer campaign blog:
Since Monday afternoon, hundreds of Boxer supporters have already joined our contest for a pair of tickets to a special lunch event with Vice President Al Gore and Senator Barbara Boxer in Los Angeles this Saturday, February 13.
But there’s still time to put your name in the hat too. You don’t want to miss this chance to meet two of the greatest fighters for our families, our environment, and our future.
Contribute $10 or more before 5 p.m. PT today — and you’ll automatically be entered in our contest to join Al Gore and Barbara Boxer on Saturday!
We’re so honored that Vice President Gore is appearing for Barbara in Los Angeles this weekend. After all, we know that no matter who Barbara’s ultimate opponent is — Carly Fiorina, Tom Campbell, or Chuck DeVore — this may be one of the toughest re-election campaigns that we’ve ever had.
Enter now! But together, with the hard work and support of friends like Al Gore and you, I know we can prevail.
????????
She is having a raffle? HUNDREDS of supporters?? LOLOLOLOLOL
Carly & The Stepford’s. Must have reeked of cheap perfume and permagrin in there….
On a side note….. Luncheon with Al Gore had to be canceled due to unexpected snow storm
Don’t forget your period at the end of your sentence there, John. Punctuation is law, ya know.
Take a look and Jackie and my take on the women’s conference. Talk about two entirely different experiences!

I cheered when Carly was named to head HP. Disappointingly, she proved equality by showing that a woman can run a company down the toilet just as well as any man.
Do we really need her kind of “business acumen” in Sacramento these days?
GREAT PICTURE!! Still laughing…
I was one of the dummies who thought it was actually a women’s conference and not a political rally.
I’ll never make that mistake again.

Wow! I attended the same event yesterday morning at COC and do not feel at all as Jackie has expressed.
Buck said “girl” in reference to Carly’s accomplishments tongue in cheek after having discussed in detail the great strength of his diminutive mother, grandmother, and wife.
I am a life long registered Democrat but found Ms. Fiorina’s comments inspiring. Life’s challenges are not partisan and affect all of us along our paths. She spoke to the hurdles she faced particularly as a woman in business, most appropriate for a conference for women.
I had the opportunity to personally meet and speak with Carly after the event was over regarding her position regarding illegal immigration. I was gratified to hear she does not favor amnesty and supports legal immigration. Barbara Boxer has done nothing to address this issue on a Federal level and does support amnesty. She has lost my vote.
Carly Fiorina did talk about her campaign to defeat Senator Boxer. Only after speaking at length about her personal journey through life (business, personal, medical, etc) and in answer to a question from a member of the audience.
There was an invocation prayer, which ended with in “Jesus name, Amen”. Since Buck is of the “Mormon” faith I would assume he would reference Christ, sorry you did not realize that Jackie. If you do not believe in Christ, you may insert the name of your deity or not say that part and problem solved. I have attended multiple services at temples, mosques, churches, etc of a faith different from my own and say my own prayer if the one they recite conflicts with my beliefs. I do not expect them to adjust for me.
I heard Andrea speak about your Mom’s organization at one of the breakout sessions we both attended. She did a great job talking about it. I seem to be more in line with what she said about the conference. I thought it was great, especially for a first conference.
Gangfang: before turning gray, I was an auburn haired “girl” not blond so it was not all blonde-haired women or Republicans in attendance. I personally sat next to women I did not know previously of different hair color and political affiliation. It was a nice morning chatting with and listening to some great ladies and more than one guy in attendance. It was predominantly beautiful women of all colors, shapes, and ages. By the way, I find your comments regarding perfume etc offensive.
I hope Buck does this again.
That’s exactly right, Berta. You attended a church, temple or mosque, not a conference open to the public. I grew up Catholic but still feel strongly that I don’t shove beliefs down others’ throats, especially where not appropriate.
What we take pride in when it comes to our community is different viewpoints who come together to create a better life in this valley.
PS it was Andrea who spoke of his reference to
“girl.” Your points are taken more seriously when you are accurate in your arguments.
“I find your comments regarding perfume etc offensive”
How about moderately priced perfume?
Samples ripped from the pages of Cosmo and O?
Avon bottles from the 80s?
Jackie says, “What we take pride in when it comes to our community is different viewpoints who come together to create a better life in this valley.”
I agree with that statement but if you really do, is not referencing Christ also a different viewpoint than Buddhism, Judaism, etc?
I am sorry but I do not agree with your perspective. There are also invocations at City Council meetings which are public, and many other venues, where a particular religious leader whether pastor, rabbi, or whatever gives the invocation as prescribed by his/her faith. Religious tolerance includes being tolerant of Christians too Jackie.
LOL. I find it very highly amusing that you read I’m not tolerant of Christians, instead of what’s actual, that I am open to those of all faiths. My mother, who just happened to serve in the convent for 13 years will find this one quite entertaining.
Jackie you are entitled to your opinion. I happen to think you are not as tolerant as you proclaim based upon your comments. A Christian based invocation should be as well received as any other. If Rabbi Blazer ever has a conference, which I attend, I will expect him to phrase his comments based upon his faith, not mine, and I will join or adjust my prayer as my conscience dictates.
I lived in a convent is Spain and considered entering the order myself. Being a member of any organized religion does not guarantee or prevent religious intolerance. There are many fine and decent people of all faiths. There are also many atrocities committed in the name of many faiths. The Catholic faith had the Inquisition, Crusades, etc. Other religions have their own fanatics.
Religious tolerance means tolerance for ALL faiths whether we agree with their precepts or not. Religious intolerance means being unwilling to grant equal freedom of expression to someone because of their faith. It appears to me as though you are condemning Buck for adhering to his faith. That is religious intolerance.
By looking back on past posts,
I notice that you enjoy battling anything you possible can.
I will leave it at this. I am about as religiously intolerant as Bob Kellar is racist. You decide.
Hey Andrea and Jackie did buck call it 1st Annual Women’s Conference or did you guys?
Jackie you wouldn’t be normal if BGH didn’t whine at you about something…
He called it that – several times.
LOL that is funny. I am shocked at the prayer.
We have a list at work of things you don’t do… and that is one of them.
Very Fair Letter.
To Spineflower2 re: yourFeb 14 10:16 am post; I agree, we should not elect Fiorina; someone who ran “a company down the toilet;” someone with poor business acumen. But she is running for U.S. Senate; so if elected, she would serve in Washington DC, not Sacramento.
Do we really need her kind of “business acumen” in Sacramento these days?
Sorry, I thought Boxer’s main local (California) office was in Sacramento.
We don’t need that type of business acumen (Carly’s) in Sacramento, Palo Alto, or D.C.!
We just need to decide who is the better candidate to replace Boxer. Anyone will do.
Berta,
We invite you (and anyone else who feels strongly) to talk about this on our Blog Talk Radio show LIVE tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10AM (917) 889-7762
If you will be calling in and want to be featured, email us the number you’ll be calling from so we can identify you in advance. scvmomsblog@gmail.com
Danger WILL ROBINSON DANGER!
Hi Jackie.
Thanks for the invitation but I am not available tomorrow at 10 am. I hope someone else will address the topic.
Good luck with your program.
Damn it I was looking forward to BGH crying and Jackie pounding head on table!
Entertainment GOLD!
Maybe Berta will go on next week instead? It seems like it is an issue she feels passionate about. I am sure as it is political and/or religious that it will be relevant at any week???
This Pic is absolutely scary , it looks like a poster for the Aryan
sisterhood or as another already commented a meeting of the SCV “Stepford Wives”.
Really, Kevin? Is it scary? Yes, it’s terrifying that middle-age women think blonde looks best on them. Hey, I agree.
But not every woman of child-bearing age in this city has a fake smile and boobs to match. Some of us have brains, an attitude and the willingness to open up a can on dumb boys. Seriously, you guys need a new schtick.
Lesson 1 – don’t criticize woman’s hair.
That is text book. I personally would love to be a a room full of blonde soccer stepford wives
I’m a redhead with 7 brothers and I’ll mess you up. HAHA
Jackie has SASS
Re: Business acumen, or lack thereof
Uh, isn’t this exactly what Buck did? Stores went bankrupt leaving employees with useless paychecks while he went to Congress and a million dollar house in Westridge.
