  • Correction: Yesterday I implied the County’s beach bus was a new service that copied the City of Santa Clarita’s beach bus. I was wrong- the County’s beach bus has served the SCV longer than the City’s, at least according to Supervisor Antonovich’s office
  • Dave Bossert doesn’t thinks what buzzed the SCV on May 4 was a turboprop  airplane flying low over Stevenson Ranch. I think the website that KHTS linked to Tuesday settles this matter pretty well. Watch the replay beginning at 8:47pm and you’ll see the two F-16s engage each other in a little playful maneuvering WRB
  • “It is always the city’s policy and practice to preserve the character of the communities and the integrity of the Santa Clarita Valley by permitting orderly growth through the availability of public facilities such as roads, sewers, parks, water service and schools necessary to support it,” Paul Brotzman says in an op/ed in The Signal today. On Primary:

I already sent in my vote by mail and made sure I cancelled out all of Petz’s votes. Voted for Meg Whitman but did not feel good about it. Voted for Tom Campbell and DID feel good about that. The crazy birther Orly Taitz is one of only two Repub candidates for Secretary of State. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if she edged out and became the nominee?

Had McCain won the election he would have put Meg on his (in his?) cabinet. Not that it matters, as he didn’t win the election. But it’s amazing how things change so fast.

  2. Saugus Splasher says:

Whitman is the “David Gauny” of the governors race – a opportunistic, chameleon candidate who really stands for nothing. In the beginning Whitman said her three priorities were “creating jobs, cutting spending and fixing education” and she said that she would veto any other legislation until those priorities were accomplished. Whitman was supposed to be a business-savvy, middle of the road “moderate” Republican who could have crossover appeal to independents and Democrats, but now she walks and talks like a born again right wing Republican who is obsessed with the scourge of illegal immigration.

Like David Gauny, Meg Whitman is trying to use issues to get elected rather than trying to get elected so she can address issues for which she is passionate.

And like David Gauny, Meg Whitman is morphing her priorities and positions to gain power, because for both of them gaining power is the end and not the means.

Meg Whitman is a BILLIONAIRE trying to buy the governors race..is’nt that what G & L did.. buying the SCV City Council… I guess if you have enough money you can buy anything… G & L bought 4 city council people and total control of our city… hope you like that

I love it, and I especially love that you hate it!

        My evening prayer:

“Thank you Jesus, for allowing G&L Realty to buy votes by personally visiting the 6,000 to 7,000 people that voted for the incumbents and giving them each $5. And also thank you for ACORN that registered the two adults, five children, two grandchildren, three dogs and fourteen goldfish that sometime live at our residence so that they can perform their civic duty and vote for incumbents.”

        • Alan says:

G & L spend over $ 50,000 on 3 incumbents..those 3 voted to allow them to build their towers in a residential area… you dont see anything wrong with that… yikes we are trully in trouble…

Nope. I am actually angry that they did not approve TWICE as many towers with free helicopter rides for the kids!

Whitman denounced Bob Kellar and removed his name from her campaign because of his stance on illegal immigration. Now she promotes herself as our new savior in the illegal alien war. Give me a break. She lost my vote.

I see the visual blight of campaign signs has begun again.

I can’t get on the 14 without seeing Whitmans large banner.

It makes me dislike her even more.
