Seriously doubt the 22 year old gets charged, running a red light gets you a ticket.

The 19 year old driving the durango needed too pay attention as well, just because you have a green arrow doesn’t mean you close your eyes and press the gas. He hit the back end which means he had enough time to react if paying attention. Defensive driving 101…

The Glover story is still so heart breaking! Still get upset when I think about it!

We have a problem in our society where people believe they are entitled to as much road as they want… Now get out of my way. Not sure why some nice people turn too assholes soon as they get behind the wheel. This attitude is causing deaths of innocent people.

“Assholes”! Quite a leap? The lady was not an innocent victim, and to some degree, shares responsibility. The city created an attractive nuisance situation, and failed to take proper precautions. Plenty of blame to go around.

15 years you and everyone else never had a problem…

If you got a problem with our hardworking police and fire, then by all means let them have it. But Valencia Blvd will be open next year because it isn’t safe to close it down.

Should Valencia Blvd. be closed for the tea party event?? It would definitely be a distraction for drivers.

Gangfang: “The driver of the next vehicle in line to turn — a Dodge Durango SUV — slammed on the brakes when he saw the Infiniti wasn’t going to stop.”

He was following the car in front of him.

There’s a possibility that you’re perfect and you’ve never run a red light, come a little too close to hitting a pedestrian or bicyclist. You might even always slow down at green lights to make sure no one is about to run a red.

But I think it’s far more likely you’re being a bit of a hypocrite – the type of “asshole” you rail against in your post.

“Not sure why some nice people turn too assholes soon as they get behind the wheel. This attitude is causing deaths of innocent people.”

Similarly, I’m not sure why some nice people turn into assholes as soon as they get behind a computer. This attitude is causing the blame of innocent people.

My mistake. That was aimed toward Damageinc. Damageinc is a hypocritical asshole, not necessarily you.

        Apologies, Mr. asshole, sir. ;)

        • Damageinc says:

You don’t know how I drive… So you can’t say anything about me. It isn’t hypocrical to defend one driver who made a mistake, add a little bit about defensive driving on the part of the other youngster behind the wheel and then make a note that our valley is full of people who turn into assholes soon as they get behind the wheel.

Perhaps you should spend more time reading for understanding.

So Jeff, are f-bombs acceptable here now?

A new group of posters has sunk this board several notches lately. Becoming less and less worth it to read or post.

SCVTalk forums are for this kind of gibberish. Threads under these news blogs were supposed to be on-topic, were’t they?

Yes Jeff. Please take more time out of your busy day to control the posters on this website to satisfy Spineflower2 and his/her virgin ears.

Apparently he/she doesn’t have a problem with seeing all the “assholes” in the various posts, but as soon as someone says the word “fuck,” his/her ears start to bleed and therefore SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!

You wouldn’t want to lose the most important reader/poster on here, right? His/her participation elevates this blog, you know. Spineflower2 is much too valuable to this community blog. Let’s hold on to him/her tightly.

Jeff, I rest my case. Allowing registration of malcontents like these clowns ruins the good work you do for the community with this news blog.

If you like it becoming a forum on a par with the bathroom stall doors at the junior high, do nothing.

Or you can elevate the level of discourse to something above the steaming pile these folks get off on making it.

          Your choice.

Speaking of assholes, I know there are at least two on the loose in cars today. One was not happy with me for slowing down to make a left turn, so he pulled into the middle turn lane and roared around me in his big red truck.

The other left his/her dog in the car in the Walmart parking lot this afternoon. I checked back five minutes later with the intention of calling the sheriff, but the car was gone.

The world is full of idiots.

Oh are we ranting about SCV drivers?

I was about to post a blog the other day myself dedicated to the idiots out here.

My favorite is when there is a 2 lanes designated to turn left, and the driver on the outer lane ends up driving in the inner lane once he/she completes the turn.

Almost got into two accidents because of that.
