He lost the battle

The Signal’s daily email flash just identified the homeless 57 year old man who was found dead near Canyon Country library this week. He is Larry McElvany and, sadly, this wasn’t the first time he was part of a new story. In 2008, the Signal photographed and wrote about him in 2008 as someone who was battling drug addiction and was using the SCV homeless shelter for the first time.

Authorities think McElvany died of alcohol poisoning or hypothermia (or possibly a combination) earlier this week when temps were dropping into the 30s and 20s at night.

Rest in peace McElvany and everyone else, stay warm!

That is a disgusting comment. There is no way that you should use the moniker of John Adams.

What people don’t realize is all it takes is the wrong decision or wrong incident to happen in your life and you are no different then this gentleman who passed.

It is true. Just because he made his choices and was homeless doesn’t mean his life shouldn’t be repected. This is what is suppose to separates us from the animals.

I respect all of humanity unless they personally have given me a reason to not do such, i.e. Charlie Sheen.

It doesn’t surprise me you can’t see the difference between respecting humanity as whole and whatever you are trying to twist here.

I do not respect you. But I wouldn’t make rude, insensitive comments when your time is finally up because I respect human life as a whole.

Of course, you’d rather make rude, insensitive comments to someone while they are alive and can be hurt by them.

              What a dumbass.
