Who We Are
Jeff Wilson
Jeff Wilson started SCVTalk.com in the spring of 2006 when there were few places online to discuss news and topics about Santa Clarita.
His goal was to create a “citizen journalism” website where readers could report on events, news, sports, and politics in town and discuss important issues in a friendly yet passionate environment.
Two years and dozens of original stories later, SCVTalk.com is the leading news and information blog for Santa Clarita. The website is read daily in important government offices, in regional news rooms, and by scores of independent residents.
Jeff continues to write most of SCVTalk’s content, including the popular “Daily Brief,” a news summary of local and regional sources on Santa Clarita. He also occasionally writes a column for The Signal, Santa Clarita’s daily newspaper.
When he’s not busy fixing bugs on his website or tracking a story down, Jeff enjoys photography, films, reading, cooking, computers & technology, and spending time with his wife and dog.

Nice new look and i like the new logo. Congrats on SCVTalk getting so big! Who would’ve thought a pet project would become a great news site. BTW, i feel dissed by your wife.

Please announce to the community for us that the Santa Clarita Valley Domestic Violence Center is celebrating their 25 year and will be having a day of pampering (lunch, massages, hairstylists, manicures, pedicures, fashion show, inspirational speakers) and nice raffle for $65.00 at the United Methodist Church across the street from Henry Mayo Hospital. Jeff,
Hi there. Just wanted to let you know that I am still working at The Signal. My articles are still running in our paper. I was reassigned to the newly created Signal Senior Sports Reporter position. I was demoted from the Sports Editor position after only one month. Greg Eichelberger and our staff have been doing a pretty solid job so far. We’ll see how it goes during the fall season, high school football, etc.
