Football Picks on the Hometown Station

Petz always enjoys listening to The Guru on the Hometown Station Friday mornings , especially the student book reports by future Conservatives.

What is a amazing though is listening to the group think by the local football pickers.  Last week the choir was singing  "Canyon Going to Roll Valencia", this week "Valencia  Going to Stomp Hart".  WRONG WRONG WRONG

Petz bets that even the Guru as a contrarian could do a better job, but he never seems to have an opinion.  How unusual.

Let me add that whichever gene we're born with that gives us the desire and ability to follow sporting events...I wasn't born with! I know how the games are played but my brain went in a different direction somewhere when I was very young. Believe me, I've tried...But alas, I am permanently on the outside looking in when it comes to the phenomenon known as "the love of sports." It's very lonely out here.

So...I just let the professionals do their thing. Heaven help anyone if I'm ever called to announce a game! I'll stick to interviews, book reports, traffic, weather, and the occasional quip, thankyouverymuch!
