My body is here in front of the computer, but my mind and heart are out on the road. I just got a new bicycle, and this time, it’s a racing bike. I’m planning to enter a triathlon this fall, though I’ll only be performing in the biking segment of the event. Anyway, if you see a streek of lightning this morning in Newhall, it’s probably me. ;)

McKeon spruces up website, narrates GOP Energy plan

Surveying the wide range of options at COC

It’s August again, and that means it’s time for me to check out the COC schedule of classes to see what our local community college is offering this fall. Since I don’t have kids, I usually have a lot of time in the evening, and I’ve found that education keeps me out of trouble. And since COC is well-renown state-wide and run by Supreme Chancellor Dianne Van Hook, our local college has something for almost everyone. So check it out!

Weekender Update

So listen to CBS 2’s lede for their web story on the quake: ” Despite shaking a large swath of Southern California, a magnitude-5.4 earthquake was not the “Big One” that scientists have long feared.” Gee, ya think? Is our tribal memory of earthquakes that sparse that we forgot what a large earthquake is really like? Way to dumb it down CBS.
